Ubuntu 14.04 -Play videos from extension MKV with VLC

When this morning before going to the beach down the last chapter of The Big Bang Theory I could not reproduce it since the video that I downloaded had extension. MKV and it did not have any player capable of showing videos on that format.

A little searching found a HowTo in one Web with the steps to follow to install the player VLC and a set of libraries that add the ability to play this kind of videos Full HD, and with these steps and one more that I needed, I wrote the following script in Bash share it if was someone with the same problem useful.

#Actualizamos el software de nuestra máquina e instalamos el reproductor VLC
apt-get update
apt-get -y install vlc

#Descargamos la clave apt y añadimos los repositórios al final de /etc/apt/sources.list
wget -O – http://www.bunkus.org/gpg-pub-moritzbunkus.txt | sudo apt-key add -
echo "deb http://www.bunkus.org/ubuntu/raring/ ./" >> /apt/sources.list
echo "deb-src http://www.bunkus.org/ubuntu/raring/ ./" >> /apt/sources.list

#Actualizamos repositórios y instalamos las librerias para reproducir mkv
apt-get update
apt-get -y install mkvtoolnix mkvtoolnix-gui
